About the project
RSAI assessed road safety conditions across major and secondary roads in The Gambia, combining infrastructure inspections, traffic evidence and stakeholder consultation.
The assignment aimed to identify high-risk locations and practical measures protecting pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and other road users.
Scope of work
- Inspect road surfaces, visibility, signage, crossings and roadside hazards.
- Conduct traffic counts, speed observations and road-user surveys.
- Review crash records and traffic management arrangements.
- Engage authorities, operators and communities on local priorities.
