About the project
RSAI assessed the IRUMP and Lumley–Hill Cot corridors to identify infrastructure features and road-user interactions that increase crash risk.
The work brought together engineering observations, traffic evidence, crash information and stakeholder perspectives, with attention to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport users.
Scope of work
- Day and night inspections of geometry, signs, lighting, drainage and pedestrian facilities.
- Traffic, turning-movement and pedestrian counts at priority locations.
- Origin–destination, travel-time and road-user surveys.
- Analysis of hazards and presentation of recommendations at a client workshop.
